NR 5% (Limo Tint)
The darkest window film available.
Standard "Limo Tint" is a Non Reflective (dyed) film available in 2ply or 1ply. 2ply films have a much longer
life because there are more UV inhibitors & 50% more P.E.T (on average). UV inhibitors protect they dye &
polyester from degradation. UV inhibitors are placed in the mounting adhesive & the laminating adhesive. 2ply
films have laminating adhesive to put each ply of P.E.T together; thus "2ply".
Limo film is also available
in High Performance, HP, where one ply of dyed NR film is adhered to 1ply of metalized film with a laminating adhesive, as
mentioned above. Due to the layer of metal, a HP film will reject more heat that a standard NR film.
New
technology has develped dyed ceramic & dyed HP films that will reject more heat than the above, but the ceramic is more
expensive.
